I chose this typical Manx farmstead as the model for Dreeym Freoaie, Heather Ridge. It becomes important at the conclusion of Kissing A Stranger and is occupied by the Cashins throughout The Seducer. The white building with the chimney is the dwelling house. I shot the photo from the window of the Manx Electric Railway train in springtime when the field was turning green. Scattered across a low ridge, within sight of the sea, were a house, stable, cowhouse with a barn loft, and pigsty, all made of gray stone. —from Kissing A Stranger The tour concludes at Port Cornaa. 1.
