Welcome!

You've come to the right place for information about my novels and other aspects of my life.

What's new?

2012 promises to be quite a busy year.

My activities--in addition to writing--include the development of a new website devoted to my mainstream historical fiction pursuits, associated with a streamlined pen name: Margaret Porter.

This won't mean the discontinuation of this site, for two reasons. My backlist is featured here, and eventually those titles will become available as digital editions. And because the focus of the new site will be books, research and writing, this one can remain a repository for personal pursuits--travels, roses, restaurants, etc.

Later this year I'll return to Ireland, after a few years' absence, and will as usual spend time in England. Perhaps I will re-visit this large herd of deer I photographed in November.

During the 17th century, an ancestor of mine was church warden at the parish pictured above. I welcomed the opportunity to visit this and many other sites connected with my family in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire, and even London. In addition to visiting art galleries, museums, restaurants, pubs, and shops!

I'm now revealing the primary subject of my novel-in-progress:

Pictured here are the protagonists of my most recently completed novel, a young duchess and her duke, both prominent at the court of King William III and Queen Mary II of England.

I'm regularly blogging. The blog serves as a diary of my activities, literary and otherwise. (Mostly otherwise!) You can "like" and "follow" me via social media.

I hope you will bookmark this site, and return from time to time.

            Enjoy your visit!
