Ellin's Home

Ellin's Home

In Kissing A Stranger and The Seducer, this attractive farmhouse of Manx stone serves as Boayl Fea, the House of Rest. A tavern and a lodging place for travellers, it sits beside the River Cornaa, across the road from the Cashins' linen mill. At the rear of the house are several farm buildings. The glass conservatory, a modern innovation, is not featured in my novels.

"Boayl Fea," she said, soon after they crossed another bridge. Warm light streamed through the windows of the Place of Rest. Home to Ellin Fayle, who borrowed books from Kerron... —from Kissing A Stranger

Proximity to two crossroads made it a popular stopping place for travellers, and with Glion Cornaa's linen and corn mills so close, it never lacked customers. —from The Seducer
