The William and Mary Cipher


It isn't enough of a legacy simply to build--or to re-build--a great palace. The forward-thinking monarch asserts his and/or her place in history by leaving behind other tangible symbols. William and Mary placed their cipher, the entwined initials M and W, in many places.
