You've come to the right place for information about my novels
and other aspects of my life.
What's new?
With summer's approach my perennial gardens are quite colourful and recent rains have rendered the surrounding landscape extremely green. I predict a good crop of roses! An early hot spell made it possible to open up the lake cottage earlier than ever before. I'm spending a lot of time there--writing, of course!
I have several long-distance trips scheduled. I've just returned from the Historical Novel Society conference, my first time attending this event. It was everything I hoped it might be, and more.
My latest trip to England was lengthier than usual and most enjoyable. My time was divided between research trips (Windsor and Nottingham), seeing friends, visiting galleries, holiday shopping, dining at favourite restaurants.
A highlight was an unexpected encounter with the Queen!
I'm planning the next UK trip even though I haven't yet managed to post my November-December travelogue! One reason for the long delay--a very busy session in the state legislature, dealing with budget shortfalls and policy initiatives.
Neverthless, I'm making progress on my historical novel about 17th century aristocrats and royals.
I'm currently writing my historical novel about 17th century aristocrats and royals.
Pictured here are my protagonists, a young duchess and her duke.
The map below--St. James's and Westminster--shows one of the areas in which my real-life characters lived and loved.
I'm regularly blogging. The blog serves as a diary of my activities, literary and otherwise. (Mostly otherwise!)
I hope you will bookmark this site, and return from time to time.
