This new title has already made the Kindle Top 100 Bestseller list for Short Stories (all short stories, not just romances ones!) A love spoon is a traditional Welsh love token. The cover design, created by illustrator Ravven, used my photograph of the spoon I purchased in North Wales and was nominated for a "best cover" award. Here's a blog post about my spoon and the story's setting. And a guest blog about 18th century Wales.

I participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November--a challenge to write 50,000 words within 30 days. This was my first time--normally I'm in the UK in November and far too busy. I'm happy to say that I completed my 50,000 words (plus a bit more) on 29th November, a day early! It was a good experience for me, and required lots of discipline.
Last year marked the release of five backlist titles as Ebooks. I'm delighted to make these crtically-acclaimed books available to a new and broader readership! All are historical romances. They can be purchased for a variety of e-reading devices.
The primary characters of The Islanders Series are connected to the Isle of Man, but their adventures in search of lasting love take them to London and elsewhere. The Proposal is the tale of dark intrigue, blazing passion--and a glorious garden. My novella "The Apple Blossom Bower" was originally published in a by-invitation anthology.
In September and October I visited Britain. While there, I toured several National Trust properties and gardens in Hampshire, three royal palaces (Buckingham, Hampton Court, Kensington), spent time with friends, conducted research in the British Library, dined, shopped, visited museums, and attended a fantastic conference sponsored by the Historical Novel Society.
2013 is turning out to be extremely busy. This spring we are purchasing a new house and arranging a summertime move. I travelled to Florida for this year's Historical Novel Society conference. We are expecting lots of company. Somehow I will find the time to complete a contemporary novel, publish digital editions of some of my early popular Regency novels, and embark on the next biographical historical novel project....For info on that aspect of my career, hop over to my other website.
I hope you'll bookmark this site, and return from time to time. Enjoy your visit!
